the unconscious is a window.the subconscious is shaped.the conscious is architecture.
My work has always been about place; moving from public to private explorations. My new body of work refers to spaces/places that I’ve lived. This phrase refers to the psychological aspects of my investigation: ‘the unconscious is a window.the subconscious is shaped.the conscious is architecture’.
The first group of works in this new series is based on my childhood home. When making works in this series, I put myself back in the space again to process my experiences through my newly understood lens as neurodivergent.
the unconscious is a window series will continue with every place I’ve lived.
